Three new appointments to the Surrey Centre for Law and Philosophy

We are delighted to announce three new appointments to the Surrey Centre for Law and Philosophy, all joining us over the course of the next couple of months (in the following order):

 

  • Sebastian Lewis (DPhil, Oxford) – Jurisprudence, Legal reasoning, Public law
  • Conor Casey (PhD, Trinity College Dublin) – Comparative public law, Legal theory, The natural law tradition
  • Lucas Miotto (PhD, Edinburgh) – Jurisprudence, Coercion, Global health justice, Digital ethics

 

Sebastian joins us as Surrey Future Fellow (permanent track), from the University of Oxford and the University of Notre Dame in England, where he is currently Lecturer in Law at Oriel College and Global Associate Professor of Law, respectively; Conor as Senior Lecturer, from the University of Liverpool, where he is Lecturer in Law; and Lucas as Senior Lecturer, from Leeds Law School, where he is Senior Lecturer in Law.

 

This will bring our Centre up to a total of 20 members, plus external affiliated people and PhD researchers. Welcome Sebastian, Conor, and Lucas!
